Sk8 or Die!
SALVO!
Those already aware of Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros know that frontman Alex Ebert (Ima Robot/The Lucky 13’s) has fully immersed himself in his Edward Sharpe alter ego for this project. The group, with their debut album “Up From Below,” have proven to be fun and talented story tellers with their music and lifestyle, but why stop there? In their music videos, the group tells the story of Edward Sharpe though a sublime combination of narrative and experimental styles of filmmaking. The series stars Ebert as Edward Sharpe with the rest of the group making cameos as different characters throughout.
SALVO!, a 12-part music video series from Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros. Here are the first two installments.
Part 1 – Desert Song
Directed by: Benjamin Kutsko
Part 2 – Kisses Over Babylon
Directed by: Isaiah Seret
I look forward to the next 10 parts in this series by one of my favorite bands. On a side note I booked Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros at Mo|Tav (Mothers Tavern) in 2009 & we sold 103 tickets (the band sells over 1500+ tickets a show these days)… the few who attended where treated to a show unlike any I have seen to date. I am lucky to have been apart of that magical night.

BLACK & BLUE
Finding new music is my favorite drug. MIIKE SNOW providing my fix with “BLACK & BLUE”.
Why?
“Now that I see it all from a distance I realize that nothing matters as long as I know I am on the right path”.
A second editorial fashion film with GQ Spain.
This film was made in Almeria (Spain) by Alvaro de la Herrán, during a GQ photo-shoot. Special thanks to Sara Padilla (GQ fashion director) and all her crew. Jose Luis Salomon (d.p.), Juan Carlos Ontoria (music) and Steve Miller (sound).
Armand de Brignac is for real.
This is a perfect example of how you take a good product and make it great by adding fantastic packaging and a big endorser. Not many people know that Ace of Spaces is actually called Armand de Brignac, so you can also add a good nickname to that list. Funny enough, their cellar is on Don Perignon street in Chigny-Les-Roses in the Champagne region of France.
Tarp Surfing is RAD.
Don’t play with fire.
I have been blessed to never have been “this guy” or in a abusive relationship like the one portrayed in this new video by Eminem featuring Rihanna. This video was directed by Joseph Khan and features the beautiful Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan playing the tormented couple. Great cinematography, great song!
